The Environment authority held a visual symposium to introduce the national initiative to plant 10 million trees from the Omani wild trees. The visual seminar included a number of government and private agencies and civil society organizations, as it included a presentation on the definition of the national initiative to plant 10 million wild trees presented by Hamad Al-Furqani from the Environment authority. Sultan bin Saif Al Salami from Haya Water Company gave a visual presentation on the role of treated water in achieving the concept of sustainability. Engineer Saud Al Salami from the Omani Sidr Society gave a visual presentation on the role of the Omani Sidr Society in afforestation and the contribution to the national initiative, after which the discussion session took place on the role of partners From the various sectors in contributing to the implementation of the national initiative, in which the efforts of the One Million Palm Tree Project were presented by Eng. Yarub Al-Hattali from the General Directorate of the One Million Palm Tree Project, and the role of Bee'ah Company in afforestation and the realization of the initiative presented by Engineer Muhannad Al Jumaa from Bee'ah Company, and the use of modern technology in afforestation. The shift to smart afforestation - presented by Saeed Al-Ghanami from the smart platform and the role of individuals and the local community in afforestation programs presented by Sa`i Dr. Al Habsi, the discussion session was moderated by Dr. Thuraya bint Saeed Al-Cliniah from the Environment authority. It is worth noting that the national initiative to plant 10 million trees was launched in early January of this year to celebrate the Omani Environment Day, which falls on the eighth of January of each year and to emphasize the importance of Omani wild plants and the necessity Paying attention to it, combating desertification and increasing the green area.
